are you saying you can't watch youtube videos with an AMD760 MB? That's a lot of hooey. I have one sitting here that I used as my game/file server and using VGA to connect to my TV. It had no problem playing youtube or videos from the HDD. And my ga-78lmt-usb3 had no trouble playing HD movies using the onboard HDMI.

In Windows 7 64-bit (but not XP 32-bit), I could watch 1080P60 MKVs of HD-DVD rips (I owned the BR version, but didn't have a BR drive at the time), the AMD 780G IGP could play them basically flawlessly.

Note that the 760G may have had some of the video playback hardware disabled.

I had a friend that had a 780G mobo as well, but his HW acceleration wouldn't work for Twitch.tv streams at the time. It would play back fluidly, but it would have all kinds of bad macroblocks showing up in the video stream. That was using Flash Player, a while ago. (Years.)

I hooked him up with a low-powered GT610 card, and that has performed admirably up to 1080P60 H264 for him. I have no idea if he watches H265 or VP9 videos. I know that his internet currently doesn't really support 1080P YouTube all that well.

My one board can't play HD because there is no HDMI out, just VGA and DVI. I am not buying a cable for that, either. That board has been retired and replaced with an AMD880 board with HD4250.

The other board I sold but it could play anything H264 that I threw at it. The only problem is those boards don't have any new drivers. They are all legacy now.

760G plays video perfectly with no problem as long as I have to set the video memory greater than 512MB. But I often installed only 4GB RAM max to save on costs, so I end up with not much memory left at 3.46GB. At 256MB, that's where the performance goes down, while Sandy Bridge HD2000 graphics at 256MB plays everything perfectly, even with 4GB.
