Ummmm Clue me in.... Whats special about a Z77? On board cache for HD's??
I have spent the last 2 weeks researching Video Cards..... THIS is too good to pass up.. So my research time on this is limited.... Going to MC at lunch....
Hopefully, this will stretch the existing video card I have.
Here is my shopping list so far:

There is another possibly important difference with a Z77 (7 series Actually)

TRIM will only work in RAID configurations with a 7 series board or later. May not matter to most but be advised.

Well.. not really comparison. 2500K will just dominate all the area, just a matter of how much it dominates.

I have used 2700K (Essentially 2500K with HT and +0.2GHz) Phenom II X4 960T@X6, FX 8120 and FX 8320 past two months. Stock 2700K with HT off was on top in all area I tested including multitasking (w/ virtualization) and encoding, with the exception of FX 8320, which was a slight above than that. Forget about gaming, stock 2500K will just crush anything AMD has to offer, probably exception of OC'd FX 63x0/83x0.

And then now, you can OC 2500K pretty well. 4.5GHz is somewhat easily reachable. At there, it mostly likely will crush anything AMD has offered in its history, OC'd or not.

Was gonna hit it up after work and offer it to the people asking in the thread. Glad I checked again as it would have made the Friday traffic that much worse for me.
