I bought the i5 3570K at $169 bundled with $40 off the cheapest Z77 MB I could find (GIGABYTE GA-Z77-DS3H, about 3 months ago. This motherboard doesn't have vcore adjustment for overclocking, but wasn't a big loss for me. The 3570K gets pretty hot when you up the voltage so I my plan was to just see what overclock I could get with stock voltage. It's been rock solid at 4.2 Ghz, which was a good enough overclock for me, since I have a silent system with low airflow. So if you want a mild overclock, you can go with a cheap mother board with the $40-off bundle
