Intel i7 3770k $222 @Fry's

I tried to price match with Staples but they said they can't do it because the model # does not match their 3770k. If anybody has any luck getting an online retailer to price match let me know, I'd be interested in picking one up at that price.

This was on SlickDeals yesterday (and in stock for delivery for quite some time). There were reports of getting Newegg to match since they have the "Iron Egg Guarantee" on this item (not sure they match when not available for shipping through).

Yeah I was thinking that too. If you compare model numbers, none of Staples model numbers on processors match up to anything from Microcenter or Fry's. I was going to try to get them to price match the $150 3570k from Microcenter but figured I'd get the same answer.

I think Staples learned their lesson after matching the Microcenter $199 3770k during Black Friday week.

Their live chat said that they would but I had to call in. It was OOS by the time I had a chance to call.

Their live chat said that they would but I had to call in. It was OOS by the time I had a chance to call.

Well the way my store does it if it ships and it's in stock from a major retailer, we match it pretty much. Micro center is one we never match because that's an in store only price and the closest micro center is 360 miles away.

Staples is great! They definitely learned their lesson when they price matched Micro Center's i7 4770k @ $199, I didn't know the did the same for the i7 3770k. That's good to know though. They sure went out of stock quickly though.

You're probably right about it being the 4770k. I'd buy either one at that price!

I could not pass it up even though I had a 2600k already. Prolly sell the 2600k for nearly what I bought the 3770k for.
