Hello
Just had a question about the Intel D875PBZ motherboard. I noticed on newegg and other sites that the mb description says Prescott ready(looks like the retail versions) And the oem versions say not prescott ready.
Also some sites don't say either way if its prescott ready or not. I went too Intels mb site and found a table listing what processors work with what mb revisions. All mb revisions work with non prescott processors but only certain revisions(the later ones) work with the processors. And from the looks of the table the bios isnt a factor as p20 and higher work with all processors.
So I guess what I'm asking is what did they do in these revisions too allow the mb too work with a Prescott processor?
And I guess the only way too tell if I get the right MB if the retailer doesn't say is too wait till it comes and look at the revision number?
Thanks!!
