I have an Intel motherboard with integrated graphics and I have had an overall good experience. Intel tends to stick strictly to their specifications so if they say it will accept RAM of a specific voltage and speed, dont expect faster RAM to work with it. Some people have also stated that some backwards compatability like IDE drives may have problems. Intel designs things looking forward, not backwards. So they tend not to do a lot of upgrading unless someting has problems. Every brand out there makes a few lemons, so you always want to avoid being a tester for new products.
I have seen just as many problems with Intel MB and Asus MB. I have also had good results from Gigabyte in the past. Most of the fancy options, overclocking, and other overpriced addons I dont use much anyway, so I dont get sucked into buying deluxe motherboards. That is for suckers. If you got money to burn and want to buy two video cards or extreme Intel Processors feel free to spend your money on what makes you happy. I have never used more than one video card, and I seldom buy a Motherboard that costs over $120.00.
I use my computer for a lot of online streaming so I dont play but a few games on it. I have not yet tried the CPU's with the Video on the CPU. My motherboard was the Intel DG35EC with Integrated 720p Integrated dual display and E7200 CPU.
