For those of you still interested in this deal and who live in Southern California there are a few of these Intel Pocket Concerts still available. I just picked up one at the Norwalk Costco the price dropped to $139.99 yesterday. There are about 5 left. There are also 45 left at the Los Feliz Costco.

Will this work if I just buy the player, not the kit? If I walk into my nearest CompUSA or BB can I still use the rebate? Can you only get it for 139 at Costco or are there other places? It looks awesome, but I don't want to pay $250 just because my local Costco is sold out.

Is the flash memory internal (aka built in)? Or does it use SM or CF or something?

For the Pocket Concert, the 128MB is built in and it is not upgradable. The other Intel player (can't remember the name), uses MMC or SD cards and has 64MB built in.

This is a killer deal. I have a Creative Nomad II MG, but if I had it to do oever again I would get a Pocket Concert, which has a more ergonomic design and superior sound quality.

I used the "Click n' Pull" feature at www.samsclub.com to check my local Sam's Club's stock. The price showed up as $129.98! Drove out there, and sign said $179.98. Had an employee check the price with a hand-held scanner and it scanned at $129.98. Took it to the register and it came up at $139.98! Had a manager check into it, and sure enough the register was wrong. $129.98 plus tax! $50 rebate puts it at $79 (plus tax)! Sweet!

Comes with docking cradle, neckphones, belt clip, case, 2 AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries(!), USB cable, AC cable for the cradle (can charge the batteries with the player in the cradle), stereo RCA cables (cradle has stereo outputs!), and a Y-cable to combine the RCA's into a mini-jack. This is an awesome deal.

This was at Manchester, CT by the way. There were probably about 12-15 of the Pocket Concert kits left.

The Sams item number is 794363. I just ordered 20 for pickup. Figure I'll auction them WITH the rebate so people can claim the rebate themselves. May not make as much - but it's alot less hassle.

The Sams SKU# is correct. However, Sams click-n-pull inventory system is often inaccurate and it is highly unlikely that they will have 20 in stock if any.

BTW - Be careful offering product on eBay with a rebate if you are not an authorized reseller of the product. You are liable if buyer's don't get the rebate after you advertised it with the product. If they pay with a credit card they can now legally dispute the charges on these grounds win with most CC companies.
