man, i remember when i got this a few months ago. it was goign for about 90, but i just got my 30 MIR. Can't believe it's so cheap already. i haven't had any problems with the camera. 480x640 res, button for quick snapshot, and a sliding lens cover. works fine with netmeeting.

WinXP (RC2 Pro, at least) doesn't support all of Intel's software, and this division of Intel has been destroyed--no new software, probably. My camera still shows up fine, and I can take snapshots, but I can't use the autosnapshot software (really cool)

They're pretty good, not as good as the logitech with the motion sensor.. got the rebate fast, I got it a few month ago from dell, the black one where it was 29.99 - 30 rebate = free hehehe

Good camera. I got mine from staples for 90 with a 60 mir back in mid-september. I haven't gotten the mir yet though.

A note, their software doesn't work with win2k or winxp. I even tried compatibility mode and it won't install correctly. You gotta get your own software.

Did the same deal at Office Depot but I made a mistake, picked up the PC video camera PRO.
I think $29 w/o rebate for this intel Pro Video PC Camera should be OK.

Pricematched with FRYS $49.99-$10 Coupon-$10 GC(Advertisement) = $29.99+tax

Whats your opinion? Should I return this this camera becuase rebate is not available?

Wrong link for the Intel Pro USB camera . The drivers in the link above only work with the older Create & Share camera products (at least in WinXP). I know because I ordered this CD and they did not work in XP. After calling Intel tech support, they told me that so many people were ordering this incorrect driver CD that they now provide them via free download and pointed me to the correct drivers. If you have the bandwidth, you can download the entire CD with the Intel applications or just the drivers for your speciic OS.
