I wouldn't expect the 750Ti to do well under those settings, just like I wouldn't expect any iGPU to do well. I wouldn't try and play some more demanding games at 1080P with all the graphics effects on even on a 960-class card. That was kind of the point.

My point was that it's not 1080p... 4xSSAA on 1920x1080 is actually 4K, ergo increasing a card's workload by a factor of 4. It's not some graphic effect, it's quite directly asking a 750Ti to do 4K, not a reflection of a 750Ti's 1920x1080 performance capabilities.

They allow this because the much lower clocked non-K isn't competitor of 4790k. 6700k will do the job for this model as replacement. On this page 6700k scores 10.58 in CB11.5, this is in line with this test: http://www.pcfrm.com/intel-i7-6700k-vs-i7-4790k/

Of course it can't prove all the scores on this page.

Ah good spot, my bad. I didn't realize it was the I7 6700 linked, and not the I7 6700K.

These scores still seem rather low, though. It shows the I7 6700K as only being 3% faster than the 4790k in single core cinebench and 8% faster in multi-threaded cinebench, which would be quite a laughable and embarrassing improvement, over a two generation jump from Haswell > Skylake.

Motherboards don't affect performance.

With the FIVR being off the CPU die and back on the motherboard, it stands to reason that motherboards will increasingly affect performance again, if only slightly

The change will really shine through when overclocking, though.

They perform exactly the same at stock.

He could do some iGPU benchmarks. I'm also interested in GPU frequencies of those GPUs, we don't know this yet.

We dont know at what voltage that 4.8GHz was obtained, could be a suicide run so lets wait and see.

Perhaps. None the less it is encouraging that the chip can even handle those frequencies. Regardless of cooling or voltage tons of haswell chips will simply refuse to boot at 4.8 ghz let alone run anything intensive.

With the desktop roadmap leaks - is there likely to be a corresponding mobile roadmap leak forthcoming?

If it can hit stock 4.2 then I doubt its a suicide run at 4.8 but it might involve custom water to get 4.8. If it does 4.8 on air or aio water I'm getting this on release.
