Anyway, if they already have chips in retail boxes floating around here in December, then these chips PRQ'd a long time ago.

GameGPU tested the Cube i7 (Intel Skylake Core m3-6Y30), one of the most popular chinese fanless tablets powered by Skylake-Y. Many popular titles were playable. Very curious to see how Kaby Lake-Y does here, given that the 'U' version is able to sustain CPU + Graphics turbo speeds far longer than its predecessor.

The company has everything ready and is only waiting for the official announcement from Intel to launch its Predator 17 X gaming notebook. According to a few online resellers, the notebook will pack Intel Core i7-7820HK CPU with an unlocked multiplier for overclocking and NVIDIA's latest GTX 1080 GPU.

Outstanding price for a Kaby Lake-Y tablet with 128GB storage. Less than half what an iPad Pro 128GB WiFi costs. Might have to buy one when I travel.

Guru3D: Core i5 7600K processor - Desktop Kaby Lake - CPU tested

Our findings in short, our 7600K processor is a fairly OK overclocker, temperatures remain under control really well. Coming from a 3800 MHz base clock going to a 5000 MHz isn't bad in my book. We reached a (borderline) stable 5000 MHz as bootable and need 1.30~1.35 Volts for that. The overclock entails nothing more then increasing the multiplier and CPU voltage, it is as simple as that.

5 GHz overclock and a 20% performance increase with a Core i5-6600K! Sits between stock Core i7-4790K and Core i7-6700K at Cinebench 11.5 MT.

DX-11 GTX 1080 SLI vs DX-12 no SLI.

If you look at the GPU graphs , single GTX 1080 in DX-11 with an 4.6GHz OC Core i7 5960X gets 69/98fps when in DX-12 with a default clock Core i7 5960X (even Core i3 6100 and AMD FX) gets 70/101fps.
In DX-12 the game is GPU limited at 1080p even with the FX 4300.

Also to note, Pascal GPUs gets a small increase for all three cards (GTX 1060, 1070 and 1080) (no SLI)

Skylake E5 are not even publicly available and Broadwell E5 have been available since Q1 16. So I'd bet end of 2017, early 2018. Yeah I'm too lazy to search for rumors on Google

Xeon E5 v5 (Purley) is already shipping to select customers. General availability in middle of 2017.

Diane Bryant, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Intel's Data Center Group, dropped a bombshell announcement that the company is already shipping Xeon E5 Skylake-EP, also known as the Purley platform, to several undefined customers. Intel is delivering the leading "preliminary production versions" with a targeted feature set to its largest unnamed cloud service providers and HPC customers. The Purley processors won't become available to the public until the middle of 2017, and Bryant noted that all major OEMs are working on full-featured systems that they will release at that time.

Regarding Skylake-X / Kaby Lake-X and the next enthusiast platform (HEDT) - DigiTimes says Intel will debut them in Q3-2017, hinting at Gamescom in August.

On the benchmark (on high @ 4k/60Hz) on my 5820k@4.3GHz, 3x 980Ti setup I'm getting 30fps vs ~42fps with the DX11 renderer. I checked Afterburner and am getting no activity on my 2nd and 3rd GPU with DX12 renderer.

Makes sense. Looks like the DX12 patch completely broke mGPU support. No what you'd expect months after launch.
