Intel sockets and chipsets...?

Hello, I`m wondering where can I find some info of Intel sockets and chipsets, differences betweeen these in preformances and cost. I already know enough about AMD info, but Intel is a puzzle to me

www.intel.com would be a good place to start. The latest are the 955 and 925.

Nvidia and ATi (I think) are also making chipsets for Intel.
