As long as they don't shut down their dGPU division, the rest they can get into whenever profits are great again. It is strange they are shutting down just when their iGPUs are getting good.

Yesn't.most modern video cards in the dedicate realm can be cut down significantly and use less pcb.
We need a form factor like that in desktop. Get rid of all the dumb fire hazard PCIe power cables, get rid of the enormous coolers that just dump 300W of heat straight into your case. Deliver power through the board pins, and have standard cooler location and mounting mechanism so that the chassis can be properly designed around cooling the GPU.Yesn't.
They were Fury/Vega gfx with 1st gen HBM.
HBM based gfx card PCBs can be significantly smaller as integrating VRAM with the processor package takes out all that routing to individual VRAM chips.
Even more so again if you cut out all the display output routing for headless compute accelerators:
I'd amend that to be dual chambered with a standard location for CPU and GPU cooling. We need a form factor like that in desktop. Now I want someone to PC mod an easy bake oven. If they haven't already.
This PC EZ-Bake Oven actually fits into your spare 5 1/4″ drive bay, and works on your computer’s power source!
Thoroughly agreed! The ATX case layout is no longer fit for purpose.I'd amend that to be dual chambered with a standard location for CPU and GPU cooling.
Kind of odd that Nvidia, with its unprecedented market share, influence and financial power and no stranger to doing its own things, hasn't pushed for a new case layout yet.The ATX case layout is no longer fit for purpose.
I don't think Nvidia really has the platform reach in consumer desktop to do that. The CPU vendors are in a better position, but given that every past attempt has failed, can't blame them for being reluctant to try again.Kind of odd that Nvidia, with its unprecedented market share, influence and financial power and no stranger to doing its own things, hasn't pushed for a new case layout yet.
Precisely. although one must look out into the yonder and ask whether it ultimately affects in the benefitical arena of jensen's ego, and if it does, you can bet your sweet little petootie he through nvidia would push for a new standard, otherwise why waste money?I don't think Nvidia really has the platform reach in consumer desktop to do that. ive looked him up. I've seen him as a popup image in videos. I'll skip videos of him as comedy is very subjective and most comedians are terrible at their lack of craft. cheers for the info. now if you'll excuse me i shall prepare for intel's eventual funeral in a decade, provided I'm still living then.Youtube comedian.
who is uncle roger?
I see, I don't follow a lot of youtube personalities I couldn't name one I watch regularly. none of the cooking videos interest me, I'm more of a buy a recipe book and follow it type of bloke. youtube has only been useful in a few instances where going by the book didn't work out well like trying to make gnocchi but it turned out to be dense lumps of bready turds. they never tell you trad gnocci is hard to make and the ricotta one is simpler for cooking newps.he's actually a comedian + chef who always goes head and toe correcting Gorden Ramsy....
So i am using it as a joke for the ez-bake which is also a april fools product.
