looks good, has anyone dealt with these guys before? They've only got 2 ratings both in the past 6 months at reseller ratings.

So is there any advantage of running the 45nm vs. the 65nm quad core... I wouldn't mind jumping on this if so. Also, I have a Gigabyte p35 motherboard, will the Xeon work okay there??

Advantages are significantly lower power draw and heat dissipation. This wouldn't be an issue, but running hot computer for prolonged periods of time heats up the room which can make it quite uncomfortable in the summer.

Yes, the that is pretty much the only advantage, lower power / heat... But, it may also be able to over clock and stay cooler...

$315 a whopping half hour later, but Backordered. However, their price to buy these straight from Intel is $316, so something fishy is going on here...

well... I wouldn't make the mistake of buying from moogr again. I ordered a retail X3350 from them on the 24th... they had it in stock... it was in processing for 3 days.. I sent an email to them to cancel.. on thursday they sent me an email stating that it was sent 2nd day fedex... i've sent them an email several times asking for a tracking number... it's now saturday evening and I still have nothing ... no tracking number .. no package... i'm now out $350 dollars... i'm not happy... i've had to cancel my card because they have my number now... and they're fishy

Damn, that sucks. I was just going to mention you can get the X3320 (2.5GHz, 45nm, 6Meg cache, etc.) OEM for $227.00 + shipping after coupon. Now I'm not sure I trust them enough....

That's considerably below their cost. $266 in lots of 1000, I think. Every time I hear about these guys, they make me more nervous.

Sometimes its cheaper to sell below cost and lose a little money to get customers than it is to sell at full cost and pay to bring in those customers. For example i can spend 50 bucks on Google adwords advertising to make 1 cpu sale or i can lose 10-20 bucks and sell 2 cpus and get 2 happy customers.

We're new and thats the price of being new and competing against the "big boys"

As far as the dajeepster goes, send me a pm.. i don't have the time to match forum names to orders but i can definatitely make sure everything goes out or gets tracked.

As far as the CPU goes, the sell out everytime i list them and we notified people of any pending back orders and even all of those have shipped or are shipping (international orders are out yesterday and today)

BTW, We're going to cease future international orders outside of US/Canada

Again, please read the terms before you buy. We don't actually bill the order until the item ships, i've had countless people complain they didn't get the CPU within 1 day because other people on here did so its hard to make everyone happy but i do the best i can. We ship out of 10 warehouses, distributors/fulfillment centers across the US so most major metropolitan areas are covered for 1-2 day shipping.

Please keep in mind if the X3350 is hard to find and someones posted a deal on here that deal goes everywhere so its not guaranteed just because at the time of order it says we have 8 that those 8 aren't already being clamed by others ordering in front of you we have people who buy these just to put them on ebay or export them overseas to markup so the deals go quick.

PM me if you need anything or contact me direct

Since you have already received the CPU Can you also stop the google charge back? They just contacted me about your order.

Sorry, new, unknown retailers give me flashbacks to the days when everyone in California set up a shop in their basement and either couldn't be contacted at all, or wouldn't help anyone if you did. Fortunately, a bit of Darwinism in the market has left us with a MUCH higher standard of service these days!

I must say, posting on a respected tech forum does a lot for any company's reputation, and we appreciate it a lot.

Thanks Byron,
I recieved the CPU last night and it's up and running fine. I've also just recieved an email from google stating that the difference in shipping was being refunded. Thanks again.

I'm also not aware of any charge back. I don't have any emails on a charge back.

ps... I just sent google an email stating that I've recieved the CPU and was also refunded the difference in shipping.

... and now i'll stop hijacking this thread
