Evolution is science. Something that has massive amounts of evidence to back it up.

Intelligent Design is a political concept used to push evolution out of school because it doesn't fall in line with the literal interpretation of the Bible. For most Christians, Evolution is not in conflict with creationism.

But of course you're entitled to your opinion, but you cannot elevate your opinion above that of others by saying that one is more "proper" than the other. We must, after all, be mindful of the structuralism inherent in the grand metanarrative's hermeneutics.

Intelligent design would be more plausible and believable if it was something that the religious people had always been claiming but it seems as science gathers more evidence of evolution the religious just all of a sudden claimed "intelligent design" to justify their beliefs. I don't know the real answer but watching everyone argue is at least entertaining. I guess it is nice to be someone who couldn't care less what the truth is on this issue even though I lean towards evolution.
