Lets just see these bible thumpers support the teaching of the raelian beliefs in their class rooms and I will have no problems.

The Raelian's are basically recreating Egyptology/Emerald Tablet beliefs.
Scientifically it sounds plausable, however; no one knows how to copy a mind/memories [yet].
There is no debating cloning is not possible. Cow, chicken, human...it's really all the same once you get the method down. The problem with cloning is you don't get a copy of the mind.
Now I am not exactly how this would work from the point of view that you wake up the next day with a mind 30, 40, 100, 1000, 10000 years old but in a baby's body again...you'd have to teach the muscles/nerves and regain coordination. If you were very important you would need definite guarding.
The Emerald Tablets of Thoth/Hermes is an interesting read. Physically they exist whether you believe the writing on them or not. The interesting thing is they are made of an element not known to man (supposedly). I have not formed a belief to really what is real in this and what is not...much of other religions have equally bizarre and non-provable points. However, there is a lot to be said where several converge and overlap.

The point though is that we see these ides as absurd and many relgious people who vehemently support teaching the "Intellegent Design" theories would never allow you to change the concept of some powerful being to anything other than god. If we were to teach in a public school that it wasn't god but aliens from outerspace that created us they would cry afoul, but that is equally rediculus to force the concept of god on the masses if you maintain a separtaion of church and state. It should also be important for us to separate relgion and science when we teach our children. I am not saying that it is bad to believe in Intelegient Desgin I am just saying public funding should not go into relgious teachings.

No, because it is not like evolution is taught in schools. At least in my experience in two completely different highschools, the entire subject is never talked about.

I still am confused about one thing with the flying spaghetti monster.
As the numbef of pirates decreases, the temperature increases.
I thought since the pirates would be drinking rum and playing with fire, that the temperature would infact be proportional to the number of pirates rather then counter-proportional as seen on the chart. But, if it is the will of the Flying spaghetti monster, then it is the will of the Flying spaghetti monster.

I accidently picked "its a valid scientific theory", I meant to pick "its a religious viewpoint"
