Intellimouse Explorer or Optical?

I'm currently using a MS Wheel Mouse Optical and I think it's time to upgrade. I'm looking at either the Explorer or Optical, and I'm not interested in any Logitech products.

Main uses are surfing and FPS gaming.

Last I knew, the Explorer series had lifetime warranties, if that makes a difference.

I think all the higher end opticals do. Could be wrong, but I swear there was some sort of lifetime warranty sticker on my intellimouse optical box.

I love my intellimouse optical. Those forward/back buttons are handy as all heck

I know. There are two Intellimouse [Intellimice?] I am looking at: The Explorer and Optical. The Optical is a little less expensive, and both are optical.

I have an Wheel Mouse Optical, not an Intellimouse Optical. Two different devices.

cant beat uniform shape and one button on each side instead of 2 on the right side

if you're right handed i'd go for the intellimouse explorer. it's kick ass. especially after they released the v3.0.

I picked up a new IntelliMouse Explorer on eBay for $22. Look forward to playing with it. Thanks for the replies!
