Intel's 1155 DP67BG..review

X-Bit labs who isn't known to give out gushing reviews has given Intel an excellent one for it's new 1155 DP67BG. It's certainly a board to consider near the top of the list.

Excellent board if you just want a modest overclock. The Asus P8P67 variants have too many issues.

too bad my DP67DE mATX board has problems with OC... it throttles back down to 33x after some time, probably because of thermal/current limits(it has settings to increase the threshold, but i guess it doesnt work)

Is there really any point in testing CPU performance for mobos at stock speed these days?

I would rather see benchmarks on less-tested stuff such as USB3.0, 2.0 / SATA / Ethernet speeds.

Modest overclock? They got 4.8 with no problems. These boards should hit 4.5 at a minimum for the maximum stable overclock. They just don't have the power phase stuff to hit the high overclocks.

I personally (from what I've read) have no doubt this board will meet the scrutiny of the upper echelon of users and yes, it's nice that it's not the usual Asus or Gig..we need this quality...there are so few at the top.

Any word on when these will be available? Returned my original DP67BA from January since I was within the refund window, and recently purchased an Asus P8P67 in March. I've had far too many headaches with the Asus (and bought it against my better judgment of Asus products).

Amazon's saying 1-2 months for the "media" and "enthusiast" ATX P67 boards, and Newegg still only has one Micro ATX [Intel] board for 1155.
