Interest free credit card question

I bought a TV on my Circuit City credit card with 0 interest for X months.

Let's say I then use my credit card at some random store for $43. Then I get the bill and decide to pay that $43 back.

Because the $43 purchase at the random store is not covered under 0 interest, will the $43 I paid on the bill be applied to the random store purchase or my TV Circuit City purchase?

There's a 99% chance the payment will be applied to the 0% balance, and you will rack up interest on the $43 purchase until the entire 0% balance is paid off.

Look in your T&C but virtually all CC providers would apply it to the lower interest balances first.

This is why you keep multiple cards so you have other cards available to take advantage of offers like this (and balance transfers).

Exactly. Never ever use that card again until the 0% is paid off.
