Interested in the SX1040b

Greetings, joined these forums shortly after I made the decision that the 'puter needs a major overhaul. I'm starting with the case, i've had good experiences with Antec so i'm going with them again only this time I want a black case. Found that the 1040b is perfect for my needs, but it was out of stock at Antec's site. So I went to Directron, they had them there, but on the site it says that the 1040b isn't black at all, its charcoal. It sure looked black on Antec's website. Directron reccomended their version of the case if you wanted a "Jet Black" 1040. So my question is: Is the 1040 advertised at Antec's site really in truth charcoal? Also has anybody had any luck with Directron's version? Does it come with all the rails, cages, etc that the Antec has? Any help would be appreciated as i'm excited about getting my upgrade on.

Search for Chieftech. They actually make the cases for Antec and Alienware. Plus, they have alot cooler options sometimes.

I own and currently use the Directron D30b (Directron version of SX1030b). It comes with all the drive rails, cages and fan mounts as any other version of this case. It is truly jet black, compared to the charcoal black of the Antec SX1040b. The only difference between the two is the lack of PSU in the Directron version and the specs of the included fans.

I have the Jet black Enermax Newegg version and receieved the actual Antec 1040B yesterday. The Antec is def. charcoal and not as dark as the Enermax (cheiftech). Either way you slice it, these are BAD ASS cases.

I have the Antect SX830 ... I LOVE the case. I bought 2 of them. I HIGHLY recommend the SX830/840 and the SX1030/1040. I'll be buying a third soon.

Great service from them..and it's only $107 right now...

Thanks for the information, i'm looking at the chieftech on newegg for only $45. No fans or power supply, but I planned on throwing a enermax and four panaflows in there. It's out of stock though (Argghh!), and I don't think it's jet black. Picture of it looks good though. Decisions decisions.
