Thanks, but I wouldn't exactly paraphrase that as "truth is HSA is kinda pointless for desktops, even AMD folks says this". Of course it's interesting that HSA isn't even explicitly mentioned in the paragraph about desktops. So I'm sure they fully realize that HSA is indeed kinda pointless there. But based on your wording I was expecting a more direct admittance of this specific sore spot (out of many).

It's more sad than funny. Lately AMD has been spouting PR talk like crazy, trying to sell HSA to developers and consumers, but time and again they dodge the difficult questions. Sure, an APU can make sense for your grandmother's all-in-one system for checking her e-mail, but hardcore gamers still prefer a discrete graphics card, for which cooperative heterogeneous computing simply won't work. The next generation of consoles is around the corner and when those games come to the PC an all-in-one system won't do.
