OK......situation that I am facing. I bought a quilting frame for my mum for her 77th birthday. Bought it brand new from Hancock Fabrics about two months before her birthday. The evening before her birthday, I unboxed it, assembled it, and left it set up in her living room. (The frame is 84" long, consequently needing a lot of room to have it sit out.)
She sees it that morning....and it wasn't exactly the frame she'd been wanting, much to my chagrin. So, I took it apart, put it back into its box, and took it home....never used in any way other than putting it together. (I did get the exact one she wanted a week later.........)
Now, I'd have returned it but it was over 30 days after purchase and the store politely refused to take it back.....and I understand, it was outside of the return time period allowed by the store.
So, going to list it on ebay for sale......not exactly an item that has widespread appeal in any town or city......most of the stores that do stock these frames only keep one or two at most in stock. Not exactly a fast moving item.....and for $200, it's a semi-major purchase for a quilter. I'm planning on listing it as a NEW item because, outside assembling it, the frame was never used at all.
Does this pass ebay's requirements for new in the listing?
