It's always amazing to me when righties complain about immigration and ask why nothing has been done. They always ask why haven't the democrats fixed it yet but they never ask why haven't the Republicans fixed it yet. I think deep down, even they know that their own party is either totally incompetent at running the government or that their party has no intentions of fixing the issue.
Only one party has put forth immigration reform ideas on the table and only one party has passed actually legislation. So I don't understand why anyone who thinks immigration reform is a priority would continue to vote for Republicans.
In fact the only reason I can think of as to why anyone would vote for or identify as a republican would be because they support lowering taxes for the rich, support businesses over the people, are racists, or they want to see the government burned down. Because if you are for a smaller government, a fiscally responsible government, or immigration reform, the Republicans have offered you nothing other than empty promises time and time again.
What's that saying? Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice, you can't fool me again?
