compared to the price of south ord tools, the price isn't that hot, but then again, I don't know how much of the cost is considered to be in the guide included.

Hehe, I can almost envision myself locking my lock-picking kit in my car. The irony!

Stuff like this should be illegal. Who can we forward this information to to have this site shut down? State Attorney General?

Why should that be illegial? Everything should be illegial, because everything has a potential for doing something dangerous or unethical. Maybe someone wants to get this for educational purposes, for fun, they may need to pick a lock of their own one day. I think cars should be illegial, you can run people over.

Hardly something to be made illegal. I'd like to learn how to pick locks just for the heck of it. A buddy of mine is a locksmith by trade and can pick locks fairly well and it's simply part of his job.

and seriously, you shouldn't be worried about someone that is going to try to break in to your house. They won't be picking the lock for sure. think more like broken lock/window/door jam. much faster and easier. it takes a significant more time to try to pick a lock than to forcibly break in to a house, unless you compare to the locksmiths who can key the whole length of one pin tumbler in one strike on the pins... but then i don't think they would be the type to break in to your house.

Yes, you should be worried. Thanks to products like this, crooks will flock to these so they can avoid making NOISE by breaking down doors and windows. That site should be ashamed of itself for selling such a product. Anything for a buck I guess.

you know that this stuff has been available... for ages. if a theif was smart enough to plan ahead and do lock picking, then he probably would find an alternative method if this wasn't available. this isn't going to magically turn someone into a theif... if their intentions were already there, one way or another, it would happen.

I agree. And they should also stop selling computer products, since we all know that the fastest and "quietest" way to steal from someone is via their computer/ identity theft. Computers are evil--shame on them.

Oh bullshit, Security through obscurity is nothing. If someone wants to steal your stuff they are gonna do it and no library book, website, or gun in hand will change what they decide. Seriously you are complaining about a site called "how stuff works" because it happens to show how something works. Is this now privilleged info? Do only the "right" people deserve to have information?

BAH I say Next thing down that road is "A crowbar is illegal!", a crowbar is no different than a alcoholic drink. Both can be deadly when a stupid person makes a stupid decision.

Even if this information were illegal, anyone with a brain could figure how to do it simply by buying a few locks and disassembling them to see how they work. All mechanical locks can be opened without a key by exploiting the moving parts.

I don't know if I will be able to sleep at might knowing that this is available to the general public.

Come on, lock picking is not easy. You have to practice to get good at it. How many criminals have the patience to screw with lock picking? They'll just bust your door down or break a window. Get in and get out. That is the game. Not to many hacks will be able to buy this kit and be busting locks later that night. Aint gonna happen.

Nice find once again from the Joker.

Wow, every time I see you post you reinforce the impression that you have no idea what you're talking about.

Why don't you buy a set of these and see how far you get with them... just try to unlock your OWN door.

Have you ever actually set foot inside a public library?
