I have max sensitivity and low accel on so it feels like my old razer boomslang, but these settings don't apply to CS or Q3 or anything. Infact, the default sensitivity is very, very slow. I tried that little reg fix but it just made it slower. Help.
EDIT: It's slow in the CS menus, too.

in q3
pull down the console, and type in /sensitivity
push enter and see what the default is... change it around from that.
that's the only help i can give you.. that works for in-game play.

WTFUX. This is uberlame. All of a sudden for about 20 sec it goes to a slow sens then it comes back to normal (surfing web). EDIT: Whenever an AIM window is in focus it does this...

This is really starting to piss me off. I uninstalled Mouseware 9.75 and it seemed better, but in CS the sensitivity just all of a sudden got slower. Could it be because the core logitech drivers are still installed?

Dude I have your EXACT problem... logitech optical wheel mouse, mouseware version 9.75. What's weird is that sometimes if i open a browser window my sensitivity increases a lot, then i can minimize the window and as i return to the desktop my sensitivity goes back to normal. I can then open AIM and sometimes my sensitivity will increase a lot, then as i open a different window it will decrease again.

Its REALLY frustrating because when i load up CS sometimes my sensitivity will be how i like it, and other times it will be tremendously slower causing me to have to reboot in order to fix the problem. It's the mouseware i think, i read on some other thread that you should just go with windows default drivers instead of logitechs:/ Let me know if you get your problem solved. By the way, im running 98SE if that makes any difference.

I have the same problem with MSIE after I play a game. Also, in WC3, my mouse sensativity is turned way down and I don't know how to set it back up.

Ok, here's what I did. I jacked up my CS sensitivity to 4.5 (instead of 2), since I had a 2000dpi mouse before. This makes it feel about the same. I then uninstalled mouseware, and used the windows default drivers (but now it recognizes it as an mx500). From I've seen it's good...

2K here. I know xp has it's own little annoying built-in mouse accel that you can disable by downloading something...

Hi. I just bought the MX700 today and before installing anything for it, I read around the forums. I'm using XP and on Tom's Hardware they said don't bother installing it because it will crash your systems. But, I felt lucky, installed it anyways, and it's running fine.

I didn't notice any speed down/speed up problems while on my desktop, minimizing/maximizing browser windows, and in CS. I DIDN'T install the software that came with it though. Tom's suggests installing the 9.75 from the Logitech site. I've read that people have issues with that too though.

Maybe try switching it from PS/2 to USB or vice versa?

Not sure about the PS2, but the mouseware allows a much higher sensitivity than windows while maintaining precision.

The plot thickens. I notice that 90% of the time if I start up IE, the HLSW and join a CS game while moving my mouse in circles quickly until I'm in, the sensitivity jumps considerably but the precision remains the same, like my old Razer Boomslang. Any ideas? When this happens, I cannot use the forward/back buttons in game (although they work if I don't do this high sensitivity trick which I so love...).

Clarification... I have the turning speed of sensitivity 2.5 but the precision of 1.25. How can I set it up so it does this all the time? One more thing, if all else fails, think my old Razer drivers would work?

I had a similar problem with a Dual Optical; I just removed the Mouseware, moved my mouse from the PS/2 port to the USB port(with the PC off of course), reinstalled the Mouseware, and it was like a new mouse. Much smoother, the sensitivity improved, and the Mouseware seems to be working just fine too.

Guys, I have the same problem but with the mouse that comes with the iTouch Natural keyboard (cordless), ever since installing the damned mo***r-f***ing 9.75 drivers, it's not recognised correctly and the acceleration/motion goes to pot in any game. Emailed Logispank with no reply, so I'm going back to the old drivers...

Recommend that you do the same to be frank!

Running WinXP SP1 BTW.
