Intermittent pops from my Z-560's

Occasionally (maybe once every two-three hours), my speakers will pop. It's fairly annoying if I have them turned up a bit. I know it's not the satellites themselves because when I have headphones plugged into the Control Center I still get the pops in the headphones.

I've tried replacing the speaker wire to no avail, and all the connections are nice and secure as far as I can tell.

These are Logitech Z-560s, and I've heard some people have had trouble, and was just wondering if this was anything that's been seen before, or if anyone has any idea what it is. Thanks.

What sound card/mobo do you have? Does it ever pop before it boots to Windows, or only when you are in it?

If it occurs at regular times and happens outside of Windows, it might be radio interference. I have an Audigy 2 and every 10-15 minutes there was this popping sound- it sounded like someone tapping a finger on a microphone very loudly. It drove me nuts. Since the sound occured even before I got to Windows, I thought it might be an electrical issue. Then I noticed when my cell phone went off the noise occured every time. So on a hunch I placed the cell phone next to the computer and BAM- the noise was deafening! Now I always leave my cell phone in the other room.

Give logitech a call, they have outstanding support from my expierence. My speakers had some static from adjust the volume knob, called and RMAed my set. 2 weeks later, they sent me brand spanking new set!!! My friends sub blew out and he got a new set too! These speakers dont seem to last long but Logitech sure seems ready to back up your warranty.

I've got a Santa Cruz with the z-560s. I haven't seen it outside of Windows, but then I don't often have my computer on for long sans Windows. It's booted right into.

I think I'll try getting ahold of Logitech. I just don't know if I want to spend the high as hell shipping costs to send the sub back.

From what I hear, you only need to send them the power cord and the control center and they'll replace the set.
