I want to buy some stuff that's only sold overseas, from stores that only ship within their borders. I've discovered that there are package forwarding services for international shoppers wanting US-based stores to ship to US-based addresses. Have any of you used services for other countries?
I'm looking at the UK for now, but Hemtex in Sweden was the original consideration. I can have the store handle shipping for me, but they want 70GBP ~$115 to ship a 45GBP/~$75 lampshade. A handful of the services that I've identified provide the service for much less- to the point where I might buy two items and go through the service vs one item though the vendor. But it all comes down to whether people can vet one or more of these services...
