Internet Edge is laughably bad.

How can a browser not be compatible with a site? Someone isn't doing their job right, and I'd suspect it's the website.

It's this site if you are curious. Once you log in to the game, it says your browser is unsupported, please use a different one. Game over.

We noticed a couple of script errors and performance issues with the Windows 10 Edge (Internet Explorer). Please use one of the supported browsers such as Firefox or Google Chrome until we resolved the current Edge issues. Until then, we set the new Edge browser as currently not supported.

Whether it's their fault or Microsoft, does it really matter. At the end of the day, it's just another reason not to use Edge for me.

That's just a browser agent check. That's coded by the people who created the website and has nothing to do with Microsoft. They can allow/deny any browser they so choose whether it would work or not.

It does when you're trying to use someone's bad code as justification that a totally unrelated product is poorly made. Blame the web developer, not Microsoft or the browser.

You can pretend you are using a different browser, Edge made that even easier.
But it's a bit too much fuss, when there are better options readily available today (i.e. Chrome/Firefox).

For exactly these kind of situations you can use IE11, still included with non-mobile Windows 10 OS. I guess, it says it all. They are aware of different issues and as a workaround supplying you with their previous browser. Being on the bleeding-Edge, comes with a price. I don't have to blame anybody, today we have so many alternatives, it's just faster to switch and spend energy on something else more productive

It's clear that Edge is not the best browser, and considering the fact that it still does not support extensions is a huge down letdown.

However, I would not call for a moratorium yet, it's still in its inception, and it looks promising.

I'm a bit surprised MS released it like this, they should know what such a thing can do to sour and tarnish a brand in customers minds when there is so much well established and mature options out there already...with countless extensions much less even 1 extension being a superior option.

MS should just acquire the rights to Netscape Communicator and resurrect my favorite browser and rename it edge. I miss how it could verify your bookmarks and correct them without you having to do anything.
