Ever since I installed Windows 10, not once did I even try Edge, not even once. I have no interest in any software that comes from Microsoft. Only using Windows 10 because my laptop only works with it and games are crap on Linux.

I believe that he's referring to the edge browser which is fun to just mess around with. Apart from drawing notes on websites the lack of a functional favorites menu really places it in the novelty category.

I agree Edge or IE11 are a piece of junk,

i have an iptv provider fubotv and have 13 channels, 12 work great but one of them always gives me this error on all my 3 PC's with win 10 Edge/IE11,

ERROR;cannot load m3u8:404 not found and no matter what i do never get it to work,

on Chrome or Firefox all stream great'

Edge Has its integrated flashplayer as Chrome,but it's a crap browser with no Extensions adblock ,what a piece of crap, no wonder nobody uses it,shame on MS

I agree. Edge browser was rushed to the market. It feels and works like "Beta" software. One of the web sites I frequent, isn't even compatible with Edge. Next time, next year perhaps.

Hence why IE is still included with Windows. Steam's built in browser for big screen mode sucks just as bad. Regardless, I have to have an Adblock, internet is too obnoxiously annoying.

Yeah, Netscape Communicator was a great suite back in the day. Nowadays I've become browser-agnostic, I use whatever I have at hand. No real favorites, since they all have "-" and "+" but I tend to favor Chrome slightly due to some extensions not available elsewhere. IE11 is the best when you want to play high-definition video on the internet, lowest CPU utilization among all the browsers. Like I said, they all have + and -.

Personally I have liked the speed/efficiency changes MS has brought to the table since Windows 8... it's just everywhere else we have seen downgrades/compromises. Heh.

I have had no issues with IE11, but usually if something is not working I just try the next available browser. I always have 3-4 installed for different use cases. You don't have to use IE if you don't like. It's not your wife

It's best to say that ever since Bill left MS, the company has gone to left field. Makes you wonder if he will step back in at a point when MS is really going down to save it, like what Steve Jobs did with Apple.

I created a folder and then tried to rename it. It would not let me rename it because "some program was still using it". Seriously. I had to frickin kill windows explorer to change the name of a folder. Microsoft is just... wow. The last thing I would want to do is beta test a new web browser made by microsoft.

Im on Win98se and if I had a program running that used "SONGS",I could not change the folder name because it would be IN USE!!! (If it had an ACTIVE FILE in that folder (On demand write -- FILE IN MEMORY)))

I wouldn't actually call IE10 & IE11 crap, in some areas they perform better than the usual suspects (i.e. Chrome, FF) but in general they are just not as balanced as the competition, so if you must choose one browser, it's not going to be IE of any sort. And I consider the newer Edge browser a Beta product which was rushed to the market for no good reason (not even included in Windows 10 LTSB). Shame or not, it's not as bad as it once was during the ~IE6 era! But yeah, there is still a lot of work to do for Microsoft. But I think, they are bit struggling with vision/focus of what they really want.

I ran into that issue last night with ie 11 and flash player at abc news. When I viewed the streaming video with ie it stuttered horribly but when I used ff or chrome it streamed smoothly without issue.
