Internet Explorer headache

Hi. I've been stumped by an IE explorer problem that's "sprung" up on several Win2000 machines following reinstallations. All 4 machines exhibit the exact same TWO problems:

- from the user account, no printing can be done because the print dialog window does not come up (ie, Ctrl+P and File -> Print do not bring up the print window)
- it is impossible to "Open a link in a new window" from the right-click menu; similarly, any links that automatically open up in a new IE window fail to execute.


NOTE this problem occurs under the "User accounts" that the machines are run under. Switching to the administrator account, no problems are encountered.

I've reinstalled IE explorer multiple times on all 4 machines that have this problem with no success. I can't think of what the cause(s) of the problem might be.

Registry and/or file permissions may be too restricted on your XP image or in group policy. Try logging in as a restricted user, run the regmon and filemon utility from www.sysinternals.com as a admin. Then perform the action that doesn't work and look in the regmon/filemon for any occurances that were denied. Then give the restricted users the permissions that were denied until it works.
