internet explorer new window not maximized?

Usually when i open internet explorer, it is maximized. but when i click on a link in the current ie window that opens a new ie window, it opens a window that covers the screen but its not maximized. how can i make it that it opens up maximized on a link? got any idea? many thanks.

It's a known issue with IE. No way to fix. If it really bugs you use a different browser. Firefox is very nice.

rather than maximizing the window all the way by using the maximize button next to the X in the upper right hand corner, take your mouse cursor to the edges of the windowed internet explorer and drag the sides, top and bottom to the desired width. then close your browser and it should stay to the settings you drug it to and all new internet explorer sessions after that should be the same size as well.
