Internet Router - Fun setup

Hey guys,

I am currently running a Netgear RP614 internet router. I have my cable modem plugged into the RP614, and set the netgear as DHCP server. I have one on-site computer there and wireless piece of equipment that plugs into the netgear. That wireless equipment beams the signal to another piece of wireless equipment, and into a switch that has 3 computers on it. Everything has worked great thus far, but out of no where we have been running into a problem. The On-Site computer installed SP2 a few days ago, and now he is having problems getting online. Even if he is plugged into the RP614 netgear, he doesnt get an ip address. He has to plug directory into the cable modem to get an ip address. I have disabled all protections and even uninstalled SP2 from the on-site computer, but we still are running into problems. So anyone know how to get around this?

Or how about, what internet router do you recommend? Thanks.

i blame sp2. assumign you meant xp sp2. with all the problems people are reporting. I am sure it coudl have been effected. fresh clean install might do the trick... or am i jumping hte gun?

thats what i think too, that is why it has been uninstalled, and still problems. It may end up being what we have to do.
