Internship Interview Advice

I'm interviewing for a summer internship for a small manufacturing company in the marketing department. The description says "We're looking for an idea-driven, enthusiastic students who are willing to roll up their sleeves and help us build the Company X brand through marketing." Requirements are basic knowledge of MS programs, and a minimum of 3.0 GPA.

I sent them an email, which required a resume, cover letter, two writing samples, and 3 professor references and got an email back a few hours later stating they would like to interview me.

My interview is tomorrow, I have printed out my resume, cover letter, etc along with a few questions I have and some brief company history. I've been to the business before for a class, and the dress code seemed to be either a) polo with khaki pants or b) long sleeve dress shirt with khaki pants for men.

Is there anything else I should look out for? Any tips besides the basics? (no gum, no slouching, be personable, know your strengths/weaknesses, show your stance of dominance, etc)

Regardless for the dress code at the company, I usually dress in business casual with tie for my interviews. Ive noticed that at most larger companies, the interview process is usually structured and consists of behavioral questions which seem to be more focused on how you handle (or BS that you say you handled) a particular situation. Also you should research the company beforehand and think up of some good questions to ask at the end.

Wear a suit, the job seems fit for it.

I didn't wear a suit to my internship interview. It was for a web programmer summer internship for a medium-size company. Still got it anyways.

Take extra copies of your resume, references, etc. so you are prepared to hand them out if you wind up in a group interview.

It is always better to overdress for the interview and then adjust your wardrobe accordingly if you get hired. If you underdress, you probably won't have the opportunity to make that adjustment.

Since it is for a marketing internship, might want to brush up on their product offerings (in the admittedly brief time before your interview) and see if there is somthing you can bring to the table that will show them you are idea-driven and enthusiastic.

I hate the references part. I have an interview coming up in 2 weeks, and have to find 3 references. I mean, I've got good ones, and more, but it's just annoying considering you haven't spoken to some of them for a while. It wreaks of 'usery', or I'm just overly sensitive.
