skip to second last paragraph for my question
i cant find anything by searching, kinda hard to get the right search phrase.
I stash my inverter for my Cold cathode in the spare FDD bay with an actually FDD in the botom bay.
Was having trouble with about 50-60% of floppies not working, thought it was a bad batch but then came to the idea that it was the inverter and turning off the Cold Cathode when i want to use the FDD (rarely) seems to do the trick.
I have had some HDD errors on my boot drive, but it has passed all tests.....til a week ago. It was detecting with like Arabic writing in the post screen, not booting, and then finally not detecting in any PC.
Replaced it and now a week later the same problem.
My question is,
can an inverter negatively effect a HDD thats on the other side of a FDD and then a bay below ???
i have since unplugged the inverter and everything is ok thus far.
