Fly, setup a company where you will ship carrable packages for a large fee. Just think how much some people would pay to have a package going from one coast to the other in under 6 hours.

I agree.

Though if you could fly, it would make it easier to join the mile-high club!

Depends...

I like to pick flying however it means it is just like walking around but in the air which means if I were to travel, I can only carry so much which in turn still limits me somewhat. To top it off, I can already fly as is (student pilot close to private pilot) and flying commercial is not too bad. Though I do like the absolute freedom being able to superman my way through any part of the world.

Invisibility.... Other than the obvious bewbie access, think of the covert advantages! You can easily sneek a peek into high security areas, divulge into $$$ secrets, secure access points to yourself, hell even fly for free by sneaking around (unless you are carrying something metal then it may look suspicious).

Now lets look at the consequences....

If everyone had the ability to pick of the two and own that ability then there could be problems. For flying, just imagine what problems of traffic we have on the ground as is and take it in three dimensions. And especially since we are going at 1000mph (is that ground speed?) then we will have people mess in the air. Not to mention there is the weather. You probably wont want to fly into a cloud and be in an embedded thunderstorm or freeze your butt off.

If everyone can have invisibility, then there would be countermeasures to invisibility and there are already stuff out there to detect people by (heat sensing) and people can still feel you or you can risk bumping into people and reveal your cover.

So if you were to give me invisibility, I'd take it if I can turn off at will any identifying signature that can be detected. With flight, give me the ability to carry a good amount of items and a way to fend off any bogeys in my way plus make me weather proof.

But if you want the simple answer, I pick flight!

What about things that emit light when you turn invisible? What if you had a flashlight or just a light on your cell phone?

You'd want to use the flashlight... but according to your description the cell phone wouldn't be seen, so I would assume same for the flashlight

Kind of an issue

Oh and did I forget that if I were to turn invisible, I would like the invisibility where anything I directly touch is invisible so if I were to pick up say a pen, the pen will be invisible too.

But that could turn into a problem as well. If I touch a handrail per say, turn that invisible, people will think there is nothing there and well.... So i may have to totally cover myself to do this.

With that rationale couldn't you touch the ground and make the planet itself and everything attached to it invisible? That might not be good, don't be greedy

The places you'd want to enter by being invisible would likely still have locked doors and other security measures. This also implies you're doing something illegal, immoral, and or down right dangerous.

Flight at 1000 mph decreases (not eliminates) your associated travel cost and time, ie car, gas and insurance. You could net a tidy sum in expedited delivery services. Assuming you could carry someone whilst traveling at 1000 mph, you'd rake it in on personal travel. You could ask your girl, "Would you like breakfast in Paris, lunch in San Francisco or a sunset dinner in Hawaii?" If she couldn't make up her mind, you could do all three. Of course you could have a different girl for each meal.

The ability to travel and sightsee would be wonderful. You'd see more sites and with a POV that few human beings would ever experience. Of course the Armed Forces may also ask you to drop off a few packages to some folks in desert locals or have you pick up some of their guys.

Imagine you could fly and your friend were invisible and both of you were doing something naughty (illegal, immoral or dangerous). In many circumstances it'd be a lot easier to escape by flying away at 1000 mph.
