You're right...but I dont think all of them are rebadged Plextors. I have one of these from the OfficeMax MS Office XP bundle and it I flashed it with the Plextor firmware. Works like a charm.

dawman45 That was a honey of a deal. Got in on it myself. 12.50 for the CDRW Free after rebate. But the deal got better when my USB Zip100 drives DID NOT come on time. Thus the rebate went down the tubes. So they gave me FULL credit for ZipDisks, Cheapsoftware, CDRW and the ZIP100 Ext still on BO. Plus a 50.00 check and 50 OM GC. Real sssssswwwweeeeeeettttt deal ! Sorry about the rant .... carry on.

This is a 1/2 truth yes Iomega did but many a drive marked February 2001 are indeed still a Plextor. If your drive looks like this see next link you are SOS Iomega has started to sell the Sanyo CDR-BP1300P
