Methos 1995, When I read about the deal Saturday, I was sorta tied down with a project I had under way so I figured I would just order it online. Since the shipping is free, let them deliver it instead of me driving to them. Seemed like a good idea till I tried to place the order. Over and over and over. I was plannin to drive to the store Sunday but I tried a few more times on the WEB Sunday morning and my order finally went through.

Besides, I love the sound of the UPS truck rumblin down my street to deliver goodies to me. UPS is better than Santa Clause.

Hey guys, I purchased this burner on friday morning at 3am. And being the jerks they are St*ples charged me $7 for next day shipping. But when I checked my order information it said delivery date of 11/30 4 days later than what I "paid" for. So if it doesn't come next day (Monday) should I complain? And do you guys think they will reimburse me for being such jerks?

p.s. how do you update the Firmware? if the sanyo drive is scsi?

I'm almost positive these drives from Staples are Sanyo's CRD-BP900P. I've never done a firmware upgrade. I think those system requirements are wrong, SCSI... chuh. I'll get my drive and do it tomorrow.

How did you get it for 120 at the B&M store???
I tried using the online coupon, but the manager said the online store is different from the regular store so he couldn't do it. Was he just lying to me?

I thought I was getting mine tomorrow too, till I got the call from the Staples rep this morning. She said that they had one in stock for me, but when they pulled it off the shelf it was DAMAGED and they wouldn't send it. So now I get no drive. Dammit, I would have taken my chances on the "damaged" one.

Staples sucks. I ordered the drive on friday and they said they will ship it today. I called them when it hadnt arrived and they said the drive was unavailable due to a defective batch!!!!!

Oh boy, big problems. It was "supposed" to arrive today. Guess what came? An empty box! Well, not really empty, the pens that i ordered for like 50cents were inside, but no CDRW. instead there was an invoice that read "we're sorry, but due to an inventory problem, we are unable to ship this product to you. Please call us to reorder". So I call, and the nice lady tells me that they got more orders for the drive than they actually have! And so a lot of people will never get their drive. Of course I was mad.

The thing was, I went down to my local Staples which is 5 blocks away from me. It turns out that they still have a few of these drives, of course for $300! I spoke with the manager and showed him the letter I got, and he pricematched it back down to $165 and got my $40 off! I'm dead tired from all this walking, but at least I got mines!

No they didn't charge me shipping for the pens. But i'm a little confused with this "invoice". Here is what it reads

Zip CD internal: 299.99 -> 165.44 -> 0.00 (since they didn't ship it)
Staple remover: 1.69 -> .69 -> .69

shipping&handling : 0.00
Coupon Credit: $40.00CR
Tax: $3.24CR

Total Order Value: 42.55

What the hell does this mean? $3.24 tax on a $0.69 cent staple remover? And what does CR mean? Credit? Does this mean i have $42 of credit with staples the next time I order something?

hahai got one ! I ordered on friday bb's website was down so I just went ahead and got it at the time cause they pricematch within 14 days THERE WAS ONLY 2 LEFT WHEN I ORDERED SO AFTER I ORDERED ONLY 1 YEAH~~! Then later bb's website was back up i called and talked to some lady and she said she cant do it but she would have someone do it and call me on monday I NEVER GOT A CALL ON MONDAY so on tuesday bb's price was back up to 240 so to say the least i was worried so i called up and they had done the pricematch just didnt call me YAY So I got mine for 125 shipped cause i live in oregon where there is no sales tax HAHA

Got mine today...Staples shipped from Southern California via UPS...
I am in Nothern California...and they did charge me $14 for shipping
and handling...guess that's b/c they had use UPS as carrier...

Just flash the firmware and it works like a charm...firmware 3.27 now
supports everything...

FOOLY, I have a question...howcome on your picture you shows you only has
1800K of buffer?? mine shows it has 2048K...????

For those of you who has the drive...go to www.firmware.com.bi and download
the 3.27 firmware and flash it...it makes the whole lot of difference...
