* Representive was very friendly, she and I chatted for a bit while buy.com page would not show up on her screen. I explained to her I get staples orders by UPS Ground from Direct Staples warehouse in another state plus CDRW was not in stock at that warehouse and since buy.com has free ground shipping, she didn't add any charges on buy.com prices and accepted coupons and placed two separate orders as I requested. Well I just tried to do it and they told me that the cdrw was out of stock everywhere. I guess I'll try again in a few days. Do any of the promotions conveniently end in this weekend so that they can get out of it? I guess buy.com free shipping will be over and then they can jack me on the shipping. Oh well, we'll see. Still says in stock on the webpage.

yeah, buy.com free shipping ends today, and the rebate also ends today. ordering today was shaving it pretty close, but all is ok.

just wondering, when i tried to add on the attache case, the CSR said only for new customers. anyone had any success with this coupon having not been a first time customer?

According to the back of the rebate coupons, the dates for the rebates are actually January 16 ($100 back) and 31 (zip) (must be postmarked by then). You did have to buy the items betwen the 10th and 16th though.

I used the attache code, even though I'm not a new customer. I guess it just varies from CSR to CSR.
Considering that I'll be making money from this deal, I might think about getting a real digital camera. Just gotta find on in the $100-200 range.

How did you guys do this pricematch with CSR? I have tried 3 times but they all insisted that they will add about 21$ for next day shipping,
to pricematch the CD burner with buy.com. Now I just wish that it wouldn't arrive on Tuesday, so I could argue that you didn't make the next day shipping and give my money back, or onvia.com have the CD-RW back to stock. By the way, they told me I could do up to pricematch for 3 times, for your reference.

I had to call 5 times until I actually got a CSR to PM for me, Andy for the drive and Mandy for the cam. I'm not sure whether CSR's can see the hour that the order was placed, as they only promise next day if orders are placed before 4pm. I'd continue to try, pushing the fact that you aren't getting it the very next day, and that buy.com has $1.95 second-day shipping. Just keep pushing, it'll pay off.

Ive been looking around, and it seem sthere are a lot of problems with this CdRW.
Ive also heard that there are firmware updates avaiable, but none are listed on the iomega site, or anywhere else i search, could someone send a link to the stuff for me?

See http://www.firmware.com.bi/ Use the 3.27 update for the Sanyo CRD-BP900P 12x4x32 drive. Mine works great.

I checked and the sanyo 900 model is 12X4X32

The iomega I ordered is only a 8X4X32, is that ok?

Re:firmware, My mistake, I was referring to the 12x4x32 Sanyo/Iomega drive. I bought a 8x4x32 model also, I searched all the name brand sites for a matching picture and couldn't find one. The phillips 8xx4x32 did have a similar firmware #. The Acer has a similar faceplate. I traded the 8x in for a 12x

For those who got the agfa cl18 camera and didn't have a successful pricematch (I tried 5 times, they always tried to add nextday shipping), you can now pricematch with Staples B&M. The in-store flyer said it's $109.94.
I just did it and get back $21 dollars!

don't know if or how this will work, but Staples B&M has a promotion in this weeks flier-

Buy any CDR drive and get a copy of Drive Image 4.0 free (after $15 mailin rebate). Basically they give you a $35 coupon code in the flier. I am wondering if I can call up Staples.com and add this to the order (along with the coupon code) or if I need to wait til the drive arrives and take it into the store to get this?

Either way, if this works, you get another bonus
