iOS 6 issue

Just updated my iPhone 4s and New iPad to iOS 6 and now when I try to connect to my home internet I get this:

Never had this happen before. I am using two AE base stations... any ideas?

I was reading that when you go to connect to wifi on the phone it sends some sort of message to an apple server for confirmation of a signal...heard its down..never heard of it before and thought it was BS but apparently not?

Well, apparently the "server" is now online again, so I can't see that message anymore.

That's unfortunate. Luckily I updated mine around 3pm. I have to say the 3D map of my area is really good. Not sure how useful it is but it's really pretty.

In other news, since the iPhone removed the default YouTube app I thought it would lose integration such that it wouldn't know to open YouTube links through the app and instead always use safari. Without YouTube installed it used safari that but once I installed the app, all YouTube links go back to using the app. So there's no loss in integration. Didn't think it could do that. Awesome stuff!

Every time Apple releases a major iOS update, people always seem to have WiFi problems.

Based on the picture I think in this case someone might have simply removed the file from the server by accident, and the server responded with a customized HTTP 404 Not Found.

Updated a 4s just this AM. Everything has since been slower all day. This evening it bricked itself! That was after a call that was not picked up. She plugged it in because it was not responding. Been plugged in for a hour ... nothing.

This is a friend's iPhone who is about as conservative with the phone use as you can get.

I hate Apple & bullshit.

The phone finally did power up after about 1 1/2 hour. Not long after I wrote the whining post in other words. Maybe it felt my hate. (Undocumented feature?!) Anyway, this never happened before the upgrade, but at least it did come back on.

So she is back to discovering the new features .... just discovered that pictures can be taken while in message mode
