Yea I had issues getting that quick control thing to show on my ipad too until I realized the folio case I have it in was the problem. The ipad had slid down a bit and the bottom of the screen was flush with the edge of the folio part holding it it so my finger wasn't starting far enough enough. Once I pushed it up and refastened it in there I could get it to work. Guess I was holding it wrong.

So, battery life is definitely improved in iOS 7. I don't know if this is from some kind of radio update or if it just handles the 'not moving so don't look for signal' thing they have in place. Normally, my phone will use probably around 80% battery when I am at work. I don't charge it when I'm in bed (I have an old style connector dock, so I just set the phone down), but I usually have 100% before I go to sleep. I am at 37%, and I've used my phone probably more today than normal.

I am liking this more and more.

The lock screen playback controls are still there, just have to swipe up from the bottom without unlocking to access Control Center.

He was responding to me saying they weren't. If you hadn't played a song in a while, the back + play + forward buttons would show up if you double-clicked the home button when locked. I would normally do that when I was going out to exercise as it's quick (I'm already on the home button to unlock it), and just loads whatever I was playing last. iOS 7 will leave the controls up while paused for a few minutes.

I know you can access the control panel at the lock screen, but it isn't as simple. I guess I just don't see why they didn't make a double tap open the control panel at the lock screen -- it doesn't do anything right now anyway. The only reasoning that I could think of would be consistency as double tap opens the task switcher while unlocked.

I found the faster I swiped the easier it was to open. It is very particular. I can't do it with either thumb, it has to be an index, and the motion has to be really fast. I'm glad I'm not the only one having a problem with this. I thought maybe my Otterbox was interfering in some way, as it creates some height between the home button and the screen.

It's gotten much better since I start at the home button. I also use my thumb with it.

I had to call tech support and the fourth try got my phone to reboot and start over. I do not like the folder background colors or dock colors with my picture in use. Is there any way to change the colors and keep the background picture I use?

I did not try 6, but as of now this is how I feel about 7:

I like how smooth it feels

I don't like the folder background color
I don't like folders have nine showable icons and you have to swipe for more
I don't like the dock background color
I don't like safari tabs for browsing

The color of the folders and dock are extremely annoying as I don't have the best eyesight. I have been looking to change them but can't find how. I do not want to change my background picture at all. If the colors for the folders and dock are not able to be changed then I will be looking to go back to iOS 5. Is there any quick ways to change back? I am at work right now so this will be in the morning.

You can invert the colors in Accessibility.

Yeah, I thought those changes were rather weird as well. I don't care as much for the tabs, but eh... they work I guess. I just wish there were gestures for switching tabs like in Atomic Web Browser. The only problem with switching to AWB is that third-party browsers don't get access to Apple's Nitro JavaScript engine, so they end up being slower.

You can invert the colors in Accessibility.

I wouldn't recommend that since it inverts everything.

Not a huge fan of the tabs in Safari. I miss having a tab count visible at all times and the vertical interface for switching tabs is a little goofy.

Another small thing that bothers me is that the keyboard doesn't automatically switch back to ABC mode after you type a number and hit spacebar.

I really like the swipe navigation in Safari.

Overall, I like it, but there are some minor annoyances that I'll have to get used to.

The folders only showing 9 icons is really ridiculous on an iPad. 10 inch screen and you've got a small folder sitting in the middle of the screen. So much wasted space

I found a pretty cool case to replace my Otterbox Defender. They even point out that its iOS7 (Control Center) compatible, and they use my case as the example of one that doesnt work!

http://www.amazon.com/SPIGEN-SGP-SGP.../dp/B00DMKGPP4

Yeah, if you've got a Defender that this is rubber right up to the screen basically.

But those Spigen cases are nice. You should jump on this deal:

I was about the pull the trigger, then I saw that Spigen has a Tough Armor Challenge. If you take a picture of your Otterbox Defender, they will sell you a Tough Armor case and Crystal screen protector for $20.

http://www.spigen.com/tough_armor_challenge/

While the Glas.t screen protector looks nice, I think the Ultra Crystal will suit me fine.

Awesome find. I'd take advantage but I've only bought Otterbox Commuters.

Switched to a wallet case as well and love it.

I uninstalled iTunes 11.1 and reinstalled iTunes 10.7, then hooked my phone up to it and downgraded it to iOS 6.

iOS 7 is not for me. I messed around with it a bunch last night at work and it does not work for me. The way the icons move when going back to the homescreen, when opening folders and apps gave me a headache. Safari's tabs are extremely annoying to me as well. I do not like that set up.

This is the first time that any update they have done just did not sit well with me. If they don't apply some patches to this iOS to be able to change and get rid of some of these features then I will have to buy a different phone when I upgrade next.

I installed iOS7 on my iPad Mini last night. Only took about 9 minutes from start to finish. The performance on 7 is very good. I notice no lag at all on anything that I do. I like the overall design of 7.

Grr, I don't like the load bar in Safari at all. Or should I say, load stripe. I've hit back a few too many times now because I can't tell if I actually did anything on the first press.

Nauseated.

I don't think you can turn it off. At least I haven't seen it.
