There's also an iTunes 11.1.

OS X only for right now, I could go for some iTunes Radio on my desktop.

Comparing beta 3 to beta 4, they are reaching the final (for the phones) I think. Not a whole lot has changed, and beta 3 was quite stable on my iPhone 5.

Overtly changed perhaps I should have said. The lock screen is different, but other than that, not too much that I have noticed.

In messages, it now shows the first initial of the person with whom you are conversing's last name instead of the full name. I'm not sure I like this change.

Beta 4 has improved the uselessness of beta 1-3 on my spare iphone 4. Its usable (barely) again but bejeweled blitz still on the fritz. Just sayin.

I just wish they'd push an update for Find My iPhone.

I understand you're probably busy rewritting the entire application to fit in with the new motif, but couldn't they just push out a release that would stop it from crashing every time you tried to find out where a device is? Sheesh.

Check on the dev portal, 2.1.3 (I think is the version number) is on there.

When I opened Maps it asked me if I would like to help improve Maps and this could be changed in settings. What does this actually do and where can I go in settings to change it?

If you click 'Learn More' it tells you conveniently enough (I didn't know either)

Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services > Frequent Locations.

While we're talking about Maps, can anyone tell me how to get it to avoid tolls?

I didn't know about that page. Apparently it saves frequently visited locations too. How many sneaky girlfriends would love to get their hands on that?

On the anonymous data that Apple collects? Um... none? Besides, that's what Find my Friends is for.

No, you can go into settings and it shows locations you've visited recently and the number of times you went there. Use a passcode lock around the wife!

V5 seems laggy on both my ipad 3 and iPhone 4S . Maybe it needs to settle in and do a hard restart

Or simply don't cheat on your significant other...

Avoiding installing the betas on my wife's phone, but looking forward to seeing the finished product. I'm actually hoping this will get her closer to jumping ship to Android.

Man, I tell ya, this is a little off topic, but...

If Nokia made Android phones and the Lumia 1020 packed the 41MP sensor and JB 4.2, I'd already be gone.

I think iOS 7 is nice, so far, but it's not bringing a lot of core functionality with it. I'll continue to use it over either WP or Android because I can't stand the way Android is designed and I can't get WP in to a usable state for me right now.

So I think Apple has my business for another year. I like that I can pick up iOS and it looks nice and works perfectly without me having to spend any time trying to find the right "fit" for me like I do on Android. I like the physical home button, but Nokia has kind of solved that problem with the Amber update on Windows Phone.

I'm even 50/50 on if I'll be buying a new iPhone this year. I've got my lines staggered so each one is eligible for an upgrade every year so if I don't use it, I'm just paying extra for nothing at this point. I'm sure the 5S will bring an improved processor and GPU but I'm not unhappy with my iPhone 5.

I just feel like I'm frozen because neither alternative platform is really bringing anything significantly large enough for me to really switch. I'm just rambling now, sorry...

The Lumia has a high resolution sensor, but the quality isn't as good as an iPhone or a Galaxy.

Like what?

Well, who knows what the new iphone brings (since stuff like Siri didn't flow down to the iphone 4 for example) but no functionality? You don't count the new quick settings panel? New multitasking switcher? New infoshade?

iOS7 brings a lot of new functionality I care about

I have a L920 that I often carry around with me. It takes better pictures than the iPhone under most circumstances.

Well, remember it's just me and my usage. So no, I don't count the new quick settings panel. I don't micro-manage my phone that much. The new multi-tasking switcher seems like massive overkill. Do I really need to see the preview of the app? I know it's a much requested feature but it makes the task switcher overly complicated. They basically took one of the features I used very minimally and made it so I'd use it even less. Finally the notification shade. I hate the notification center. I don't use it. I make it a point to always disallow notifications when apps ask. I go in and turn the default apps off from the notification center. I still get notifications when I'm using the phone and I still get them on the lock screen, but now they don't collect in the shade requiring me to clean them out.

So, no, not much new core functionality for me. But I still prefer the way iOS looks/feels and flows.

Okay, now you're just being ridiculous. It functions exactly the same as the old one, only is more useful now. I think you just like to complain.

To be fair, you can't just pick up an iPhone and it works the way you want, you have to go through all the settings, and there are a ton.

You could use an Android phone just like an iPhone if you wanted, big grid of icons with no widgets.

Unfortunately for Apple no matter how much they improve iOS, the thing that's going to push my wife from iOS to Android is iTunes. She hates iTunes with a passion. It really has become a bloated mess of a program.
