IP35-E Long Beep pause Long Beep... this morning after working last night. Now no post or beeps at all.

So it was dead when I got up this morning as it was long beeping away. I pulled all the memory except one 512 and I get nothing now. No post now. The HD light stays solid through the whole start up (after the double boot of course). Once someone how after a reset/cmos I did manage to get to the bios and all was good. I'm not even running overvolted so I'm really confused whats going on here. I'll have to pull and reseat everything (huge pain!) tonight I suppose.

Any suggestions?

Clear cmos, try each stick in each slot, load bios defaults & set up ram in bios. Clearing cmos can take a few seconds to a day for some boards. It doesn't hurt to clear cmos overnight since the pc is off anyway.

Yeah, it is sitting unplugged with battery out and the jumper on clear cmos. I think I'm going to give it another shot at lunch (5hrs of clear cmos, and mine usually cleared right away before). Having a GeminII sure is a pain when you need to move memory. I can't even add any memory without removing the mb from the case!

a repeating long beep is normally a memory error.

What memory are you using? If it's Crucial Ballistix, then we probably know why

Haha yeah. I tried my regular generic stuff too.

Now I think it might be my new 4850 dying. I tried the 4850 in my ds3l (parent's build) and I get nothing on once output and a really messed up display on the other (dvi) output. I'm going to contact VisionTek today. I put the 9600gt back in and everything was fine again.
