1) You are liable for the purchase price, if you take possession of the merchandise.
2) You are not liable if the merchandise is not received, if you use an Amex card (the only card they accept by phone).
3) If you pay through Paypal and do not receive the merchandise, most likely you will get screwed without recourse, even if you funded your Paypal account with a credit card.
4) If they end up sending you a box of rocks, you are going to have to prove they did so to get your money back.
Therefore...it probably would be wise to only attempt this with an Amex card order, and tape any conversation you have with them. Even then, this is just too shady to be real, and so I'd pass.
