I saw the 3765 on sale at Target last night for $399, It is probably a national deal, but I found it in Murfreesboro, TN. The best way to get the lowest price it to purchase at Target and apply for the credit card and recieve the additional 10% off. I already had used that method so I got the electronics department persons name and store telephone number. Went across the street to Staples, price matched, $499-$110 price match gurantee - $30 off $150 = $359 before rebate. Now I just have to figure which one to keep, the 3670 or the 3765.

The cashier looked at me kinda funny when I produced the $30 coupon, but it is the one floating around that you print from an email Staples sends. I didn't produce the coupon until the price match was put into and approved on the Ipaq. I also had some other stuff in the cart, I must say, the Staples persons were top notch at this location, and in general Staples employees have always met my expectations.

I just bought one at Staples in Scottsdale Arizona, the only one they had left in the two stores we have here. I probably didn't get the best deal as some of you did, but it was very easy for me to get. Here is what I did:
Staples has the ipaq 3765 for 499.99, I applied a 30 off 150 coupon, and DataVision has it for 444.99 which I used to PM. The bad thing about DataVision is that the shipping cost is 13 to where I live but the Staples guys charged me only 7.50 which he said is the maximun that they would charge for shipping the divise (that was very nice of the him). "Just FYI, I tried to do it on line throught staples.com but they din't want to do the pm".

So:

Hey I have to say thanks for the deal. I went to target to see if it was in stock (and it was) and the price was 399.99; went to staples and the manager called for a pricematch and the ppl at target said they didn't even sell them. Staples wouldn't believe me that staples had them. I had to go back to target and get proof...so I bought one at target. I'm taking it back tomorrow. Staples matched it. I can post a receipt from Target if need be.

Interesting - I checked 2 local targets. One (Springdale, Cinci, OH) had it for 499. The other (Fields Ertel, cinci, OH) has it for 399.

However - for those thinking about buying at Target to avoid PM hassles - the rebate from Compaq specifically says not valid on purchases at Target!

This may be a shot in the dark, but there is a place called Surplus of Nashville (SON) that sells items on consignment for larger shops like BB and CC. They currently have some of the iPAQ H3765 (or at least they did last week) for $250.

It takes about 3 weeks to get the items (one of the drawbacks from this place), and they have different payment options.

BTW: I have a buddy that works there. He says it's legit and has been there for a couple months. I have never ordered anything from them myself, though, so I am not recommending. Just pointing out that this might be a deal.

I'm not certain it's legit. The deal is this. An good friend of mine moved to Nashville at the first of the year. He emails me the other day just to check up and give me his new phone number. I asked where he was working. He replies at some place answering phones and taking orders, nothing hard or strenuous. The next day, he sends me a list of what they are selling. I'm telling him repeatedly it's a joke or a scam and asking what the deal is. He tells me they consignment sell for other retails and have stuff moving through all the time. He says that a couple times a year, they get large shipments in where they have large numbers of the stuff available. This is one of the those times, and he faxed me a page list of stuff they are selling. He said mainly resellers and businesses buy because they are buying in bulk (sheet faxed lists items in prices when ordering 1-50 of an item).

So, here is all their information that I have. I hope it's legit. Especially since my buddy works there and doesn't seem to have an idea something is fowl.
