Let's see...

Everyone's gonna want the iPhone 6+ (and yes, I know a bunch of people are about to jump down my throat saying it's too big, but I predict it will be the better seller) and people are going to want 64gb to handle the higher res. pics and video...

Apple effectively just took the price of the iPhone from $199 to $399.
The 4.7" will undoubtedly be the better seller. No question at all.

I think the Apple Watch is really boring looking, and a bit on the ugly side.

BTW, where is the price?

The iPhone 6/6+ is going to sell like gangbusters. Not convinced about the Apple Watch.

The watch looks really cool, I just think I would feel like a complete tool wearing it. :/

I don't know, at least in my area there's a ton of random tech wrist accessories that people wear. Pebble, fitbit to name some. I think as long as you don't start talking to your wrist in a crowded room you'll be ok.

128GB 5.5" iPhone 6+... I am tempted!! I had to start being a bit miserly with my apps on my 64GB phone, and it gets worse as I add more and more music (I'm one of those people that hates only having a few songs from an album regardless of whether I listen to them all).

I have no interest in the Plus, but I'm definitely happy about the 128GB regular model. I keep my entire music library on my 64GB iPhone 4S which is 31GB all by itself. Add apps, games, pictures, and videos and things can get crowded pretty quickly.

The watch is really thick and not all that good looking IMO. I certainly wouldn't wear it every day. It's just not for me.

The 4.7'' iPhone 6 definitely seems like the one to get. I can't believe they're still trucking along with a 16GB model. That's pretty much reserved only for low end Android phones these days, or ones with expandable storage.

Kind of a "meh" event overall. Just waiting to see how much the watch actually costs.

OK, seriously, why the hell would I need an astronomy app on my watch?

I wouldn't mind a G-Shock like version, but I think its one of those things that would be cool for a couple of days then I'd probably take it off and store it with the rest of my watches.

"anodized aluminum back"

Is that the same shit material on the 5 that chips off so easily?

"Send a flower, send a fish" - translation, send a penis; because that is all your friends are going to send you.

That's why, despite certain Anandtech editor's protestations, some people think MicroSD cards are rather useful. My 2 year old Galaxy S3 has a 64GB MicroSD card at the moment. If I want more storage I can just get a 128GB card instead, and put more music/videos/etc on it as I want.
And 128GB MicroSD didn't even exist 2 years ago.

Would be nice if all phones had it. Never going to happen with Apple, but even most non-Apple manufacturers started to phase MicroSD out of high end phones, while increasing specs.

$349 for the watch and it requires a phone??? WTF.

Not like I was planning to get it anyway but that price certainly is a deterrence.

You can send that to your significant other to get her in the mood, because that's how it works, right? It looked like if you receive a message with an OR in it, it gives you the ability to tap a choice? Imagine the possibilities.

Yep, they can keep it at that price. You can buy a much nicer watch for that. "Uhhh, BUT IT CAN'T DO..." Yeah, pass.

I like the phone even though it's really just playing catch up to other devices. Will be the one to get this year. I don't like the watch at all though.

So, looks like I am going to be getting a 6 and skipping the watch. If they don't get some real fitness integration for people who actually go the a gym (not a Planet Fitness...) it has zero use for me.

I am not a fan of the watch but the 4.7" 64GB is what I would get.

As far as "omg android has micro SD" in 2013 when I bought my galaxy S4 I had to hunt for a good week for a 32GB and 64 models just never were made.

This while the iPhone 4S had a 64GB option in 2011

So get out of here with that "android has more storage" BS. Android is a budget OS on budget devices for a budget experience

Wow are they really going to give away a new U2 album for free?

EDIT: Yes they are.

I wonder who will bite the bullet on the watch and try it.

My mom will. My ex would for sure. I bet it sells well with women and people in CA

Exclusive through Oct 13th, so only free for iTunes users and only for a bit.

As they pointed out, there are 500 million iTunes users. That's a hell of a lot of free albums. They must have paid U2 a pretty penny to do that.
