AT&T doesn't want you tethering. 3G may not be fast, but a computer would have no problem slurping down well more than $30 worth of data. Data plans for cellular cards and the like cost more for this very reason.

They lock the BT down on purpose so yes, you can tether, but it is somewhat convoluted.

Nada- wouldn't make any business sense at current iPhone data rates for AT&T. But yes, if you can Jailbreak the thing, you can tether it as a wireless modem. HowardForums.com has at least one good thread on it describing how to pull it off, in their Apple forum- just saw it today, and I think the ability was just cracked over the weekend. Likely by some poor sot with no girlfriend or anything better to do. And we thank him for that.
