I was in Walmart when I saw your post, so I picked up 3 screen protectors for $6+. I just put one on, so it's too early to rate them. They seem thinner than the one I had from marware though.

Monoprice screen protectors are $1 each and seem basically identical to the ones that come with the rebel.

I'll let you know how it is when I get it. The 3G/GS phones seem a lot slippery to me then my original phone which is why I am deciding to get a case for my 3GS

Ordered mine on Monday from Switcheasy and got it today. I really like the case, fits great. I'll try and put the screen protector on, in a little bit.

fwiw - not sure if I'm a huge fan of the serpent(scale look). I think I would have been just as happy with the Rebel in black.

I currently have the Otterbox Defender case for some serious protection. It definitely adds plenty of bulk to the iPhone, an unfortunate trade off for the protection it receives. I took it out of the case last night to clean it up and man do I love the naked iPhone, I am just terrified of dropping it and scuffing it up or worse yet shattering the screen.

I have been waiting for amazon to get the switch easy rebel serpent back in stock to give it a whirl.

I cancelled my order with Amazon after waiting three weeks and just bought the Rebel Serpent directly from Switcheasy. Shipping was fast and I'm very happy with the case.
