yeah its nice, and the apps actually run in the background. Not sure if I will like apples 'multitasking' yet or not. going to give it some time
I guess people are just now jailbraking with 4.0, so given some time we will see some new innovative ways of multitasking.
I don't mind the way that Apple's multitasking works.. however, I still want some way to push data to your phone without opening the apps. It's not terrible to have to get data once the app is open (just annoying). Why Apple is blocking that access.. I'm not sure. I'm hoping that they're working on more APIs for their next update. Although, I hate having to wait a freaking year for a simple API.
Gonna be putting ProSwitcher back on my iPhone now that the jailbreak is out though.
I was about to try out proswitcher, but there's no way of disabling Apple's multitasking right now... so I'm not sure what that'll do to the apps or battery life to have things fighting for control.

2. Add "www.sinfuliphonerepo.com" (one L in sinful) as a Source
3. Install "Disable iOS4 Multitasking"
Ok.. finally got Backgrounder/ProSwitcher installed, however, it won't let me out of SafeMode with ProSwitcher installed. Backgrounder seems to work fine, but I can't get ProSwitcher working at all. Hmm.. may have to hold off on actually using the jailbreak until more apps are compatible.

Must be getting overloaded or something... I keep getting 'host unreachable' errors when adding the source. I'll have to try again later
I personally like Folders better than Categories..mainly cause it looks cleaner.
I'm having the same problem with ProSwitcher - locks me in Safe Mode until I uninstall it. Excited for a compatibility release though :awe:

Well.. not too impressed with Jailbreaking at the moment. In all honesty, not too much I feel I'm missing out on. I want to use Backgrounder, but it completely disables all iOS 4 multitasking.. and there are parts of it that are very useful. Oh well...

I have been multitasking pandora and everything else since way before 4.0
So far i see no reason to be on 4.0, besides that some apps now require it. Actually 4.0 is not as good as 3.1.2 with backgrounder and a few other hacks.
I am sure that the JB community will catch up though, and make 4.0 worth it. 4.0 multitasking will be fixed, i just hope soon.
Just jailbroke my iPhone 4 and MMS and facetime still work perfectly, I did not add the unofficial fix previously mentioned in this thread.
Hmm.. odd. Every time I install Backgrounder, none of the "suspend" backgrounding works. I haven't tried Pandora, or any of my other audio apps. But if I go into Plants vs Zombies (which will suspend itself and start right back up), then exit out and go right back it.. it completely reloads the game again.
EDIT: Odd.. reinstalled and seems to be working now. Cool.
EDIT 2: Ok, I had changed the Backgrounding Method from "Native" to "Auto-Detect". On "Native" it works beautifully. Definitely worth the jailbreak now.
