I'd like to see a comparison from an actual reliable site (Anandtech, et al).
Trusting company numbers is like trusting nVidia which always claim 3-5x performance in their product presentations.

Sorry, I'm kinda out of the loop, but what were you guys expecting?

Its not real impressive, but I wouldn't call it fail. A more modern SoC was about all it really needed, and its not like they'd be stuffing a quad core one or anything in there as they'd need 28nm and with TSMC's issues that won't be happening until next year.

The only real fail is that this is what should have been done months ago, and nothing major software wise.

I'm happy that they're continuing to improve the camera. Yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of the kinda slow and hyped way they improve things, but at least they tend to keep at it.

Any word on what they've done with the Touch? If it gets the IPS display and A5 it would be nice. It'd be really good if they'd add cellular data plan like the iPad too, but I'm doubtful Apple will do that, as I think they realize it'd eat into the iPhone sales too much (and carriers wouldn't be that happy about it).

The touch got no bump but a $30 price reduction. I doubt that allows them to upgrade to IPS. They always cut corners on the touch like the lack of oleophobic coating, etc.... it's fine though. For $199 its a good grab.

I think a larger screen (4"+) would have sold a LOT of people on iPhone, myself included. That's one thing I cannot tolerate on my phone. Going from my 4" Inc 2 screen to my iPod touch, the difference is pretty big.

Yeah, that's what I'm looking at too. Another decision is if I stick with AT&T. I originally wanted to go Verizon but I'm grandfathered with unlimited data and 1000 text msgs for $5 with AT&T.

So if I was going to get an iPhone on contract to sell which version would be best? I remember reading a website or blog post that broke down the best selling iPhone versions on eBay broken down by size by I can't find it anymore .

Looks like Samsung wins this year, with the SGS2 and the Nexus Prime. Awesome.

The iPhone 5 will be awesome when it hits, and so will the SGS3.
