Drove by the store in Palo Alto since its on the way to work.. must have been 400+ people in that line.
15 gold iphones. My friend was there by ~12:30-1am and he still missed the cutoff for the gold iPhones.

This obsession with the gold iPhone gives credence to the idea the iPhone is more of a status symbol than anything. In some ways it's sad, the A7 is so powerful but wasted on vanity like that.
I mean really, most will put it in a case and won't see the color.

Saw some woman in the park today dropped her 5c lime at the carousel . She was freaking out cuz the screen broke.
that sucks. for a moment i thought apple plastic was superior. it would be super durable according to the promo jonny was in.
Apple is doomed.
Steve would never allow this.
Steve would never have allowed iOS 7 to be the laggy, buggy, non responsive hot mess that it is. It turned my iPad 3 into a slug, and I can't even restore from the ipsw since it's not being signed as of last night.
Thanks Apple. If lag on iOS 7 isn't resolved, chucking this iPad 3 at the nearest status icon fanatic and using the proceeds to get a Nexus 10.
Apparently everyone knows what Steve is thinking. The iPad 3 is pretty old now.
Just turn off the 3D effects, if you haven't done so already. It makes a noticeable difference on my iPhone 4.
Actually, for my iPad 2 I just left the effects on and it's fine, but that GPU is only driving a 1024x768 screen. For your iPad 3, you'd probably benefit from turning everything off.
And also, iPad 4s are also experiencing the same kind of lag.
Messed around a bit with iOS7 and I'm mixed on it. I think I like iOS 5 the most out of any of them. It was just a solid mobile OS that worked well. iOS6 was a mess with maps and some other things. iOS 7 just feels like a polish on the top without a real overhaul under the hood. Not digging the tabbing in Safari, the app browse with the double tap of the home button, or general navigation.
Ah, so I'm supposed to buy a new iPad because a software update caused my "old" iPad to lag? Software updates are supposed to enhance, not downgrade the experience. Is this somehow not understood? I'm not sure how much clearer this has to be.
Walked into the local apple store yesterday and picked up a 5s 64g space gray for att. Had to wait in line and got the last one of the day. Supposedly they get shipments every day including weekends. This was according to the manager of the store who was standing in line behind me.
I'll post up a mini review later in the day but so far digging the fingerprint scanner. It's very handy and well done. Faster processor is slightly noticeable and nice as well. Little things are faster from the 5. Like swiping out of a text to the list, opening folders, safari etc. nothing mind blowing but more than I expected. Didn't expect to see a huge difference since the 5 was snappy.
Been trying to talk the gf into the 5s from her 4s (or even to take my 5) but she will have none of it. She only wants the blue or green 5c since it's (colorful and pretty). Had a good chuckle but it's cheaper and what she wants so may pick on up for her.
Overall I am really impressed with the build and feel of the 5c. I was pleasantly surprised with it because the pictures made it look much cheaper. They probably won't sell out but should sell really well.
