Honestly if I were you guys on a 6, I'd bite the bullet now and upgrade to a 6s, and then keep your two-year cycle on the "s" years. The 6s is a bigger performance boost from the 6 than the 6 was from the 5s or even 5. It's blazing fast, and you can feel the 2GB RAM and faster A9. My 6s 64GB is very noticeably faster than my mom's 6 16GB in every way, and Safari hasn't reloaded a tab yet.

If I had a 6, I wouldn't bother upgrading to a 6s, even though I hate the 1 GB RAM in the 6.

I'm toying with the idea of getting a 64GB 6S to replace my 32GB 5S

Pros: faster, more MegaGigaBytes, 2GB RAM, faster, 3D Touch, the gold has grown on me, can do the Apple branded lease, faster
Cons: maybe too big, not crazy about the design overall, the silver doesn't have white antenna cutouts and silver is my preferred color, too big

I tell myself that I should hold out until a redesign with the 7, and hope that I like the design better, I hope I listen to myself.

I was on the 6 and went to the 6S and it's noticeable in terms of speed. The cost to go up most likely will be negligible if you sell the old set.

I'm using Hey Siri on my iPhone 5s. It's not limited to the 6s.

In regards to the "Hey Siri" feature being usable when not charged...hoping someone can confirm this for me. This is only for the 6S and 6S+, not just something they're bringing in with IOS9?

Thanks for someone above reminding me of the 2 GB RAM upgrade. My 2 years is up tomorrow, and I can order a new phone. My company pays for the phone plan, but I pay for the phone myself, getting the 2 year contract price. My existing iPhone 5 64GB is an great shape (new Apple battery), and easily worth $200 when I sell it. So I was thinking about getting an iPhone 6, which would essentially be free after selling my old phone, however I think it's worth the extra $100 to get double the RAM, and an overall faster phone.

If I already had a 6 I probably wouldn't upgrade. More RAM would be nice, nut I don't really notice the RAM limitation on my phone, only on my iPad sometimes.

The RAM issue is especially noticable on the 6. It almost makes the 6 feel slower than the 5s. The new storage system on the 6s combined with the 2GB RAM makes the entire phone snappy, and load times are tiny.

Also, I do recommend getting the 64GB phone. I would say 32GB, but apple is being apple and made 16GB minimum, 64GB the next step, and 128GB the largest option. 16GB is usable but only barley so at this point, especially with iOS9.

Not only RAM and faster speed, but Live Photos is great if you have young kids. I'm not yet fully sold on 3D Touch though. Seems like a great idea but there isn't enough support yet, so it feels inconsistent.

For an extra $100, the 6s is a no-brainer decision over the 6.

I kinda agree with 3D touch, but what it is already used used in feels so fluent that I think it could actually be as big as they say it will be. I already use it to preview reddit links I don't want to open in another tab and multitask quickly, and that's just two apps. It just feels natural.

At the moment I'll probably stick with my 6. Haven't really been disappointed in the performance and I don't think I use safari as much as a lot of you here. I've noticed the reloading for other tabs but it's never really bugged me that much. The 2gb of ram would be nice. Especially when the jb gets released.

I also played with a 6s in store for about 10 minutes and the 3D Touch just felt weird and was tough to adjust to. I wasn't able to make the phone do a simple thing like rearrange icons. Tried light touch, double tap and hard press. It is pretty cool the shortcuts they add in though so we'll see.

If I can get the cost difference to $200 after selling my phone and buying an unlocked one I'd do that but I don't think I could get more than 450-500 for my 6. For the 64gb that puts me about $300. Hmm.

My 6s+ finally caught up with me, doing an iCloud restore now...

Rose gold is an odd color, but I can live with it, always use a case anyway
